Here’s an indulgent treat for when you’re in need of a sweet fix. Change out the fruit to suit the season. Try mango, raspberries, or blueberries.

- Grease a medium microwave-safe bowl. Add bread and pears and toss together. Drizzle with 1 tsp syrup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over bread mixture, and let sit 1 minute.
- Cover bowl with a paper towel, and microwave on high until puffed and set, about 2 minutes.
- Combine yogurt with remaining syrup and dollop onto cooked “French toast.” Sprinkle with hazelnuts.
